.random.

.yeah its 1 am i know i should be sleeping but instead i will stay up and blog about random things.
.first. jenny, for my lunch i packed a vitamin water, banana, a turkey sandwich on a roll, and wheat thins. lame i know but i did trade my banana for the starbursts from keonis lunchable. his mom will be happy about that.
.second. has time sped up or is it just me.
.third. this week is my final week of classes until we take our finals in a couple weeks. yay. i also have all of next week off from everything.
.fourth. pajama day. tomorrow is pajama day. i think i will wear my silky pants.
.fifth. i want to take some graduation pictures in hawaii. what should i wear. casual or a dress?
.last. i finally bought cream of tarter now i need a good snickerdoodle recipe.

.field trip.

.today was my first field trip as a "teacher" it was so much fun! it was really nice because only about 20 of us rode on our bus while the others were packed full. yay for being special ed. we went to the recycle fair. it was so chaotic with about a million kids but we had a lot of fun and won a ton of prizes! my group rushed through the whole things so we could win lots of stuff we got pencils, rulers, yo yos, hats, back packs, reusable grocery bags, cds, and lots of other goodies. after we went around to all the booths and cashed in for our prizes we ate lunch. i traded my banana for some candy. hehe. then we loaded up on the bus and headed home. i was beat. i slept most the way home. my students were cracking up when i woke up. oops. here are some pictures of the fun.

.slacker.

.last night before i went to bed i decided i was going to be sick today. i was tired and did not want to go teach today. so i set my alarm for 6:55 so i could call my teacher and let her know i was "sick" as soon as my alarm buzzed i dialed her number when she picked up i said hi i am sick today and i am not coming to school. she said OH WHITNEY your voice sounds terrible you need to go get orange juice. haha. lady i just woke up. then i hung up and slept all morning long it felt so nice. i don't even know when the last time i missed class and just took a morning off. maybe i should do it more often. actually we are only allowed to miss twice but i thought today was an excellent use of one. thank goodness fall break is the week after next. a whole week off. woohoo.

.i'm coming home.

.for those of you who are wondering when i will be arriving back to the motherland. i bought my ticket tonight. it was a very bitter sweet thing and i actually cried. my life is about to change drastically and i am not sure i feel about it. i will be arriving in salt lake city on the 11th of november. i will be taking the praxis II exam to get my teaching certification on the 15th (although i wont know the results for a fwe months). i better start studying. well i will see all my utah loves in about a month and a half.

.field trip time.

.on friday i was sitting in class. yay. i wasn't teaching. and my teacher held up a form. a FIELD TRIP form. i sorta wanted to scream woo hoo. i haven't been a field trip in forever. but because i am supposed to be a teacher i contained myself. we are going to the blaisdale arena for a recycling presentation. not THAT cool but hey its a field trip. first things first i gotta prepare a lunch. remember when you are in elementary school and field trip lunch is like the biggest deal. if you dont bring a lunchable you are not cool. haha. well i dont like lunchables too much anymore so i better come up with something else. something equally cool. at first i was so embarrased to be thinking about what i will bring for lunch a week before we are going but then my teacher asked the class what they are bringing and they already knew haha. it seems the popular item for our class will be poke and rice. HELL NO. i dont eat raw fish that is the color of a red starburst. i think i will go with a pb&j with some fancy snacks to go along.

.this semester i made a big move. from upstairs to downstairs. hehe. i got to move into a newly renovated unit and i love it. all the girls i live with are so awesome and so clean. (i got these pics from park she is sorta photo happy)

.welcome to whitneys kitchen.

well my new hobby lately has been cooking. i hate doing it for myself. but if anyone will eat my food i wanna cook and make dessert and everything that you can put in your mouth. last sunday i made the oreo chocolates my mom had made and they were delicious. well that was the first 12 but when i melted more dipping chocolate the microwave went nuts and turned it to powder. hehe. we ate them undipped though and they were divine. today i woke up and made all the girls i live with german pancakes none of them had ever tasted them before so it was fun. for dinner i decided i HAD to have cafe rio. so i invited syed and park to eat at my place for dinner and i made the sweet pork (i used beef) black beans and mexican rice. it was sooooo yummy and the recipe i used tasted just like the real stuff. mmm. here are some fun photos from the events.
