3 months of marriage and closing on our house.

my great grandma fox is almost one hundred, in like 2 months.

.we are blessed.

it's been a very stressful week.
but, i got the job and we got the house.
i was surprised when we got both, i guess i should never underestimate the power of prayer and fasting.

p.s. i will be teaching the behavior unit at heritage elementary school in st george, and our home is near the airport in hurricane. if you want to come visit you can, closing mid-august.

interviewed for a job in st george & put an offer on a house.
at dinner tonight i said, i hope we win the house.
apparently that isn't home buying lingo, everyone laughed.
pray for me to get the job, and the house.
i really, really, want them both.

*update: the offer has been accepted, now I just need the job! pray really hard!

it's been an exhausting year, to say the least.
and i'm looking forward to this much needed break.

spring break when will you ever come, i am exhausted and quite frankly, ive given up at work.
today's schedule consisted of a whole lot of baseball and a whole lot of homework time.
we, meaning the students and i, are over it.
all i want to do now is go get some cute spring clothes.

its february, you know the love month.
i love a lot of things. i mean a lot.
but most of all i love......

this man. hes pretty much the best.

if that was unclear you can just look at my life right now and it will be quite clear.

apparently the lord thought right now was a perfect time to throw a bunch of trials my way, unfortunately i wasn't ready.

never too late to prepare though, right? 

doing everything i can to stay positive, stay happy, and keep my head held high.

if you feel the same, lets go on an icecream run, i hear its the easiest way to put a smile on your face.

my prep period has suddenly become the worst part of my school day.
maybe if i blog the time will pass faster and it will get better.
my mom and i leave to orlando tomorrow, can NOT wait to get out of here.
i hope the weather is nice and we have an enjoyable time. im sure we will.
for now enjoy this totally awkward picture, dan came in and squatted down a little for a hug and i went to pull my sweats up (seriously, i am not that chubby). but i still love it, it was taken at some volcano in hurricane we hiked a couple weeks ago.

.trying to keep perspective.

sometimes life throws me a lot more than what i think i can handle.
more than i want to handle.
but there is a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
just hope that light gets a little brighter, so i can at least see it.

and in case you were wondering, i am going to marry this perfect man.

i guess he is the light and i cant wait to see him.

here is the inspiration behind rivers "fall" into the grand canyon.

on sunday dan took us to the north rim of the grand canyon.
it was so much fun!
when i was filming dan, he pretended to fall off the edge.
it made me mom sick (as she is terribly afraid of heights) but the rest of us thought it was hilarious.
rivers thought it was so funny she wanted to give it a go, here she is.

.the best part.

the one happy, fun, enjoyable part of my job
is...
calling a parent and telling them their kid is awesome and doesnt need to be in my class anymore.
they get super excited and sometimes get a little teary.
and i feel proud.

.longest week ever.

ugh, i hate weeks like this one.
no real downs, but no real ups either, just boring.
and long, like, super long.
pretty sure i was on the verge of tears every. single. day. this week when dan called to wake me up.
i begged for 10 more minutes in bed, but nope, no such luck.
my mom and i are headed to hurricane for the 3 day weekend.
yay, i can not wait.

.5 year goal.

i have come up with a 5 year goal, its a BIG one.
it would be amazing if i could achieve it early, but 5 years seemed more reasonable.

.goals for 2011.

i had one new years resolution for 2010, never drink another energy drink.
yes i understand thats kind of a whimpy resolution, start small and feel some success right.
im very proud to announce that i did it!
i have much bigger aspirations for 2011.
1. lose 15 pounds
2. save $500 a month for a total savings of $6,000

and thats pretty much it. wish me luck.
