.here i go again.

I know I posted like.. yesterday. or was it the day before. well anyway I am back again! So life has been pretty rough since oh..Thursday but I my future is getting brighter. I didn't feel to good this morning but couldn't miss school so I went anyway. and boy was I glad I did. I seriously don't think I have laughed as hard as I did today for at least a year if not longer. My students were being so funny today and I just couldn't stop. The teacher I work with was just as bad as I was. It got so bad that when I started laughing when we were in the library class listening to the nutso librarian yack on about who knows what and one of my students leaned over and said, "miss whitney you better stop laughing, shes gonna get mad at you" it was so funny. Let me tell you the story so you get the idea. The librarian is absolutely crazy and she is a nazi when it comes to everything. So we have to go around and say something to describe her. why? I have no idea. anyway so it got to the teacher I work with and she said "she wears a really cool fanny pack with lots of pens and pencils inside" sort of mockingly. bad I know. but she just couldn't help it. well I was already dying that she said that and I was trying so hard to hold back the giggles. then the librarian proudly puts her hand on her fanny pack that is exploding with writing utensils and says "I know and I think I am the only one who has one" She said it with so much pride like wearing a fanny pack was the coolest thing that I just couldn't hold back and I burst out laughing. it was hilarious. maybe you had to be there or see the woman. I hope to get a picture of her tomorrow so I can laugh on a daily basis. I will post it if I get the opportunity to take a picture of her. On the drive home my teacher and I were still cracking up. and she kept saying how bad we were. hehe. oops.

.holy moley.

.so this weekend was quite eventful. the negative highlight of the weekend. 8 rats joined our unit family. thats right not one not two but we now have 8 rats. who knows we could have more but last night we spotted 8 on our kitchen counter. throw up now if you need to. i nearly did. on saturday byuhsa provided a shuttle to mililani. woohoo walmart. you are probably not nearly as excited as we all were. but hey we live in isolation. i bought a lot of necessities and hopefully i wont need anything from walmart till the next shuttle day comes around. also. a positive highlight. i am losing my saddle bags. yay finally. those of you who are wondering what a saddle bag is. its that extra stuff i got on the side of my hips. after diet and some serious exercise they finally decided the no longer belong on me. woohoo. now i know all my effort was not in vain. oh and one last thing. i think i am going to start a fund raiser for the cutest dress ever. i want it oh so bad. but it will have to wait.

.my life as of late.

woah i never knew a girl could be so tired. hah. welcome to the real world i guess. up at 5:45 every morning and going till bed time. so we have been in school 3 weeks today. time is flying. i was observed for the first time today. what a disaster :( it was going okay until i realized i had forgot our science books in our other classroom and i couldn't go back to get them. i felt so dumb and so angry of course something like that WOULD happen to me. anyway when i got home i went straight to the seasider and got a waffle cone with mint chocolate chip and chowed down as i mourned my poor performance. oh well it was my first time so i have plenty of opportunities to do better. last night was our school open house. i felt like mrs grewell in freedom writers. we got the room all set up for a whoppin three parents to show up. no wonder the kids have so many problems. their parents are lame. on a more positive note we have been having a lot of fun with our class. it is really fun to get to know them and there personalities. last week we buried our bad habits. literally. we dug up our only patch of grass and they put in notes that had behaviors that they wanted to get rid of and we held a mini funeral it was really funny. here is one of our students with another teacher we work a lot with.what else has happened....oh we talked about what we can do to make ourselves a better person. i needed this lesson as much as the students. hah. the three things i listed were. PATIENCE. COMPROMISE. WATCH MY TEMPER. i know i appear to be sweet but i have earned the title "beast master" from those in my family. i hope to get rid of that soon. hah. cincy is taking over the role. i also got a face lift for my blog and changed the music a bit of country a bit of the island and my favorite a taste of broadway. i check everyday for wicked tickets to go on sale. i can't wait!

.school.

.man time is going so fast. i have been so busy and i haven't even gotten a job yet. so much has to be done for teaching. especially with my wild students. two of ours were suspended on tuesday. oops. we try to keep them in line but they are "troubled". we have a lot of fun though. on monday we played missionary tag although they do not call it that here it was so funny and we were all laughing our butts off. and today was even funnier. we were talking about choosing good and bad friends and violence etc.. since we have a HUGE problem with that, then we had each group write a little rap about anti violence and perform it for the class. i was dying. haha. i was about to pee my pants. i love the kids so much minus the times when the scream at me haha. one of the girls said she was going to blast me in the face. sad to say i really was scared. welp i guess its all part of the experience. here is a picture of my bulletin board with my coordinating teacher who didn't know i was taking the picture. hehe. pictures of my students are on their way just have to get the photo release forms back first.
